Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions apply to sessions and other services provided by Deborah Grigg (“Deborah”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By booking or purchasing a session, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms.
1. Services
Deborah provides deep-listening sessions and related personal support services, available online or in person as shown at the time of booking.
Sessions provide a supportive space for reflection and conversation. They are not medical treatment, psychotherapy, counselling, legal advice, financial advice or emergency mental-health care. No particular result or outcome is guaranteed.
If you require urgent or specialist support, please contact an appropriately qualified professional or emergency service.
2. Bookings and payment
All bookings are subject to availability. The session duration, location, price and payment terms will be displayed before you confirm your booking.
Payment is required in full at the time of booking unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing. Your appointment is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed and you have received a booking confirmation.
All prices and payments are in Australian dollars (AUD). Any currency-conversion fees, international transaction fees or other charges applied by your bank or payment provider are your responsibility. GST or other applicable taxes will be displayed at checkout where required.
Please check all booking and payment details carefully before completing your purchase.
3. Online and in-person sessions
When booking, you may be offered a choice between an online session and an in-person session.
For online sessions, you are responsible for having a suitable device, reliable internet connection and a private environment. Your confirmation email will contain the relevant online meeting information.
For in-person sessions, the address and arrival information will be provided during booking or in your confirmation email.
Please check your booking confirmation carefully and contact us promptly if any information is incorrect.
4. Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel or request to reschedule your session by contacting Deborah at least 24 hours before the scheduled starting time.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests received 24 hours or more before the session may be transferred to another available appointment or refunded, as agreed with Deborah.
Late cancellations
If you cancel or request to reschedule less than 24 hours before your session:
the full session fee will be retained;
no refund will be provided; and
a new payment may be required to make another booking.
Non-attendance
If you do not attend your scheduled session and have not provided at least 24 hours’ notice, this will be treated as a no-show. The full session fee will be retained, and no refund or credit will be provided.
Late arrival
If you arrive late, the session may still finish at its originally scheduled time. No partial refund will be provided for time missed due to late arrival.
These conditions apply because time has been reserved specifically for you and may not be able to be offered to another client at short notice.
5. Cancellation by Deborah
If Deborah needs to cancel or reschedule a session, you will be offered an alternative appointment. If a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, you will receive a full refund of the affected session fee.
Deborah is not responsible for indirect costs or losses arising from a cancellation, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
6. Technical difficulties
If an online session is disrupted by a technical problem within Deborah’s control, reasonable efforts will be made to reconnect, extend the session or arrange another time.
If the disruption results from your device, internet connection or environment, the session may still be considered to have taken place. Deborah may offer an alternative arrangement at her discretion.
7. Confidentiality
Information shared during a session will be treated respectfully and confidentially, subject to applicable law.
Confidentiality may be limited where:
disclosure is required by law;
there is a serious and immediate concern about someone’s safety;
you have authorised the disclosure; or
information must be shared with a service provider for legitimate administrative or technical purposes.
8. Privacy
Personal information is collected and used to administer bookings, process payments, communicate with you and provide the requested services.
Information may be processed through third-party platforms used for booking, payment, email and online meetings. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy.
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information held about you by emailing deb@deborahgrigg.com.
9. Client responsibilities
You agree to:
provide accurate booking and contact information;
communicate respectfully;
attend at the agreed time and location;
avoid recording a session without prior written consent; and
seek qualified professional or emergency assistance where appropriate.
Deborah may end or decline a session where conduct is abusive, threatening, unsafe or otherwise inappropriate. No refund will be required where a session is ended because of serious client misconduct.
10. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, website content and materials provided by Deborah remain Deborah’s intellectual property.
They may be used for your personal, non-commercial purposes but may not be copied, published, sold or distributed without written permission.
11. Liability and consumer rights
Services will be provided with reasonable care and skill.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Deborah is not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from your use of the services or reliance on information discussed during a session.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986 or any other New Zealand law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Events outside our control
Neither party will be responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances reasonably outside their control.
Where such circumstances prevent a session from proceeding, both parties will make reasonable efforts to reschedule it.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated periodically. The terms displayed and accepted at the time of your booking will apply to that booking.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
